A Message from Rock the Diploma Regarding the Cancelation of January 2022 Diploma Exams


Dear Student or Parent,

Firstly, please note that due to the Minister of Education’s recent announcement, all of our scheduled in-person and online (live) January diploma prep courses are canceled. However students who are still looking for 30-level course summary reviews can still access our comprehensive on-demand Study Packs. These Study Packs will help ensure you have the skills and understanding you will need for post-secondary study.

Further, we know that many students who registered for a diploma prep course with us will no longer require this same service. We kindly ask that, in lieu of requesting a refund, you consider applying the fees you’ve paid toward a different learning service that we can provide. As with many Alberta businesses, Covid continues to affect us, and your support would be tremendously appreciated – and our learning support services can still be of benefit for you or your loved one.

Here are the options we have for you to consider, should you be willing to forgo a refund at this time:

  1. Use as a credit for April or June 2022 diploma exam prep courses. Only January exams are affected by the minister’s decision – November exams DID run already, and the current position is Albert Education is that diploma exams will be back this school year. Should exams further be canceled you could request a refund down the road. Keeping a credit for a June course will guarantee your spot, many of our January 2022 courses were full or filling up.

  2. Apply your fees toward course study packs (course summary booklets + videos), that can be used anytime to support your learning, boost test marks, and help lay a strong foundation for future studies. You can consider a study pack for any 30 level course you’re taking next semester, or for any course(s) you are completing now in semester I. (Including the course you had planned to take a January diploma prep for) Study packs will help ensure you have the skills and knowledge you need for post-secondary success!

  3. Use for our online tutoring - in any level of mathematics or physics.

  4. For students taking Math 30-1 next Semester, you could apply your fees toward the Math 30-1 EDGE complete learning support program.
